In partnership with local groups and funding providers. Connect work with a network of therapists and wellbeing groups, from counsellors to outdoor activity groups, specialist therapists, events, community groups and all other services which may provide space for mental health and wellbeing needs.
Criteria
When available, we offer counselling services tailored for children (4-11), young people (11-25) and adults (25+), from low-income families and households, defined as when family income falls below a defined threshold (e.g., qualifies for government assistance, free school meals, or housing support)

Counselling services aim to run for 6 weeks for 1-1 support. Other services vary and information will be provided as opportunities are available.
Please note our services are reliant on donations, contributions and funding, therefore there may be limited spaces for support at times.
Referee (person requiring support), must reside within the service area (e.g., Margate or surrounding communities)
We accept referrals from a school, GP, social worker, or self-referral with proof of income status

Referral
Link to the referral access page here to complete an initial referral form which will be collected and reviewed within 72 hours. It is important to note that on occasion referral forms will need to be assessed by more than one therapist to find the most suitable and available route for services. We adhere to data protection regulations and therefore ask for consent to share information for referral purposes only.
Referrals with require additional assessment screening which will typically involve and online form or telephone call.

Monitoring Success
All participants of EKC incentives are required to agree to feedback and wellbeing assessments throughout access to service/s.
These may present as questionnaires, 1-1 feedback, participation observation, testimonials.

Wellbeing scales: Participants will be asked to fill in a wellbeing survey at the beginning and end of service/s. This is an effective way to monitor improvements, success and give feedback on effectiveness. These will be emailed to individuals or their caregivers as a requirement of participating in incentives.
